Adding coverage is an important element in customizing your wedding package. Our packages are designed differently than most USA mainland photographers (standard 6-12 hours of coverage) because as a destination photographer we cater to a variety of client situations. We photograph many intimate beach weddings and vow renewals where it is only the wedding couple and the photographer which sometimes only calls for 2 hours of coverage. We also photograph all day events that include dozen of guests and multiple venues which may require 10 hours of coverage.
More coverage means not only more time, more variety and more memories, but it can also means more photos!!!! For every hour of additional coverage book you can receive additional photos to view in your gallery and additional digital files at the same rate as your base package.
Here is an example to explain in further detail. Lets propose you choose the Dream Wedding Package which includes 4 hours, 300 photos in your gallery to order prints from and 150 digital files for you to keep.
We would find out your custom package by doing the following:
300/4 = 75 photos to view
150/4 = 38 digital files
Which means for every unit of additional coverage you book you can expect to see 75 more photos in your gallery and will be given 38 more digital files of your event.
So to further this example if you would like 10 hours of coverage (4hr are included in the package plus 6 hours added coverage)
You would view 750 photos (edited and available for print orders) in your gallery and choose 380 digital files (for you to personally perminatly archive).
Of course, if you were to choose a different base package, we will do the approperate calculation for that package.
Some portions of your day will produce far more significant photos that other times in your event. The photo selection does not go hour by hour, our time at the event does. The photographer will not be limited by the hour nor will you with your choice of selections. The photographer chooses what is selected for your gallery. The couple chooses from that gallery what will be delivered as digital files and prints. The selection of photos will not be mechanical. The selection process is cumulative for the entire event.
We will continue with the theoretical example from above.
Lets say there was a 15 minute walk to get from the bridal prep room to the ceremony site. As the photographer I might not have take as many photos in that hour to warrant 75 in the gallery, however 95 may be shot while capturing the couples formals during an incredible sunset. Cumulatively for the day, 750 photos will be produced for the gallery. When the couple views the gallery it is not divided by hour either. So of those 750 photos you can choose any combination you like for your prints and 380 digital files; 70 from hour 2, 30 from hour 3, 100 from hour 4, 20 bonus session, etc.
