Friend and fellow photographer Heidi Simanjuntak took this photo of me while we were playing at the beach.  I love my home on the Big Island and the kindness of the community here.  There is a huge collection of photographers who all support each other and promote the industry.  I am thankful for their talent and would highly recommend any of them... Jerusha, Sheri, Becca, Karen, Heidi, Kirk, Josh, Renee, Toby, Dino, Neil, Lisa, Joe, Susan, Glory, James, Regina, Don.... and many more whom I am familiar with their work, but do not know them personally.  I enjoy working as a photographer and am grateful to the many peers and mentors I have had the opportunity to work beside.

Something Blue Hawaii Wedding

Kim & Nick were so much fun to spend the day with!!! Kim had gorgeous simplicity to her style- her something blue pinned under her lace dress, slippers only when necessary, natural face and genuine smile. Nick was always smiling knowing how beautiful his bride is and how their companionship is so special.

2 Shake or Not 2 Shake

This video inspires me.  Today I went to Kaysen's 2nd Birthday Party and was surrounded by inspiring ladies. Kaysen's mother is Dede, the line leader of Polynesian Paradise. Dede and Jennifer featured in this video as well as the drummers are all improvising while being heavily encouraged by Auntie.  When tired just think of these ladies.  All three of these women have two children each, tend to them day to night, as well as work full time .....THEN still have the energy to shake it like this:
