Been really busy teaching full time, dancing 4 nights a week and photographing weddings.... So I have not posted in a while. Today is such a special day I just could not pass up a post to say "Happy Lei Day"!!! Today our K/1 class wore small plumeria leis on their wrists.
This wedding was a lot of fun for me. The couple from Minnesota hired two photographers, James Rubio and myself. Mr. JR had the wedding and my assignment was to capture the large family "formal" photos before the ceremony. Couldn't help myself, went a little non formal because one of the groomsmen showed me what was under that pink tie :) Congrats Pang & Andrew! I love my home in Kona. Last night I photographed a short wedding ceremony. The wedding party went off to celebrate at the luau. As we were packing our gear we saw a few friends and joined them for a dragon fruit mojito during sunset. Just before dark the Polynesian canoe came sailing by, compelling me to unpack our gear again. The sunset, surf, and opi covered lava frame the vessel in a way that shares the beauty of Kailua-Kona. |
