Sara & Lawrence integrated a special tradition into their wedding. Folding 1,000 Origami Cranes is truly a labor of love The ancient practice of a man and woman folding 1,000 cranes for their wedding is a Japanese tradition that stands for long life, happiness, and peace. Cranes are associated with fidelity and longevity, as they choose a mate for life and are said to live a thousand years. That is why 1,000 cranes are made, one for each year. Tradition holds that the couple who finishes this task before their wedding day will be richly rewarded with a good and happy marriage. | Photography: Ranae Keane EMotion Galleries Coordinator: Ashley Akamu, Karen Wakata Wedding Venue: Royal Kona Resort Officiant: Reverend Patrick Thompson Ceremony Venue: Sunset Cove Reception Venue: Alii Terrace Dress: Justin Alexander Brides Rings: Shane Company Flowers: Illima Flowers Hair/Makeup: Marta Nowak Friend's Salon Music: Paper Wings by Vicky Emerson |

Amy and Andrea were married tonight at the Royal Kona Resort. Visit again for more from this wedding.
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing Nicole Swift and Dominick Montalbano's wedding. Nicole has had an incredible past few days; married only days ago in-between training sessions and then today is not only her birthday but she is racing in the Iron Man Triathlon! GO NICOLE GO!!!!!! After the wedding I helped her carry some flowers up to her room and saw the bike..... we just could not pass up the photo on her bike in her wedding dress! I had to unpack my gear for one more shot. Here bike was pink like the color of her bouquet and had Iron Girl decals all over the speed machine. Although Swift is a cool last name for an Iron Woman as a gift to her husband Dominick, she asked that at the finish line she is announced as Mrs. Montalbano.
More photos from this wedding to come.
Pomai Brown and Ranae Keane entertain every week at Lava Lava Beach Club in Waikaloa on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Sara and Julie were a blast to hang out with at Kikaua Point. They were recently engaged and came to the Big Island to plan their 2014 wedding in paradise! Both of these ladies are young professionals in the medical field and are very deserving of some rest & relaxation on the beach. We had fun and enjoyed a spectacular sunset!
